Terms of Service
Using Ayah Connect, with a clear understanding.

Ayah Connect is operated by Pocket Monsoon (“we”, “us”, or “our”). For questions about these terms or the app, contact support@pocketmonsoon.com.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Ayah Connect Android app and its related services. Please read them before using the app. By using Ayah Connect, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the app. You may request account deletion as explained below.
You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If applicable law requires a parent or guardian’s permission, obtain that permission before using the app.
2. What Ayah Connect provides
Ayah Connect offers short daily Quran-inspired messages, detailed reflections, supporting Quran verses and translations, reminders, message History, sharing, and optional AI Chat about the day’s message. Reading options include English and Bangla, text size adjustments, and Arabic script preferences. Google sign-in is required to use the app.
The app is currently in closed testing. Features may change, and bugs or interruptions may occur. Access to testing does not promise a public release or continued access to a particular feature. These testing conditions do not reduce your statutory rights.
3. Reflections, Quran references and AI
Daily messages and reflections are AI-assisted explanations. They are distinct from Quran quotations, supporting verses, and translations. AI Chat is optional; you can use daily messages without it.
AI-assisted content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Check supporting references and consult a qualified religious scholar for religious rulings or guidance. Ayah Connect and its AI responses are not a religious authority or a substitute for qualified professional advice.
Use your own judgment before relying on or sharing a response. Report errors or concerning content through the app’s reporting feature or support@pocketmonsoon.com.
4. Your account and reminders
Use a Google account you are authorized to use, protect your account and device, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize; this does not make you automatically responsible for activity outside your control.
You control your preferences and reminders in the app and your device settings. Notification delivery depends on permissions, connectivity, device settings, and delivery services, so reminders may be delayed or missed.
5. Responsible use
Please use the app lawfully and respect others’ rights. Do not:
- Use it for unlawful, threatening, harassing, or rights-infringing activity.
- Submit content you do not have permission to share, including another person’s private information.
- Attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, disrupt the service, or bypass security measures or usage limits.
- Misrepresent AI-assisted reflections or responses as verified Quran quotations or authoritative religious rulings.
These restrictions do not prevent activities that applicable law expressly permits, including any non-waivable rights relating to software interoperability or security research.
6. App content and your submissions
Pocket Monsoon and the relevant rights holders retain their rights in the app’s software, branding, design, and content. We permit you to use the app for personal, lawful purposes and to share messages through its sharing features. Do not claim ownership of others’ work. Rights in Quran editions, translations, and other third-party materials remain with their respective rights holders where applicable; any source or licence notices continue to apply.
You retain any rights you have in questions, reports, feedback, or other content you submit. You give us only the permission needed to process, store, transmit, and display that content to provide the features you use, handle reports and support, and protect the service, as described in the privacy policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us or grant us a right to sell your personal information. AI responses may not be unique, and we do not promise exclusive rights in them.
7. Privacy and third-party services
Our authoritative Ayah Connect privacy policy explains account information, preferences, technical records, reminders, saved chats, optional diagnostics, service providers, retention, and deletion. These terms do not replace or reduce the commitments in that policy.
Google provides sign-in. If you choose AI Chat, your question, relevant conversation context, and related reading or Quran references are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply, and chats are saved. AI Chat is not end-to-end encrypted against our authorized operators or the AI provider. Avoid sharing personal or sensitive details you do not need to include. External providers may process information outside your country and retain it under their applicable policies.
Third-party services may have their own applicable terms and availability limits. They do not remove Pocket Monsoon’s responsibilities to you under applicable law. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party targeted advertising.
8. Stopping use and deleting your account
You may stop using Ayah Connect at any time, disable reminders or optional diagnostics, avoid AI Chat, and delete saved chats. Uninstalling the app does not itself delete your account or server-held data.
Request account deletion in Settings → Delete account, or use the account deletion page without opening the app. Website requests require account ownership verification. They are reviewed within 7 days and verified requests are completed within 30 days after verification, subject to the privacy policy’s retention exceptions. Backup copies normally expire within approximately 37 days; external providers may have their own retention requirements. 9. Changes, suspension and discontinuation
We may update the app or change features to improve it, address technical or security issues, or comply with law. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue; urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action. Contact support if you believe a restriction was made in error.
If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable and explain available account and deletion options. Any change or suspension remains subject to applicable law and your statutory rights.
10. Service limitations and your legal rights
We aim to provide a useful, reliable app, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, delivery of every reminder, or error-free AI-assisted content. To the extent permitted by law, we make no additional guarantees beyond those expressly stated in these terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or overrides any statutory rights, consumer guarantees, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes any mandatory rights to services supplied with reasonable care and skill and any remedies available under applicable consumer law. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability where exclusion would be unlawful. These terms do not impose a monetary liability cap or require you to waive legal remedies.
11. Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. We will update the effective date on this page and provide reasonable notice of material changes through the app or another appropriate channel. Where law requires agreement or consent, we will obtain it before applying the change. Changes will not retrospectively remove accrued rights or claims. If you do not accept revised terms, you may stop using the app and request deletion.
12. Questions and disputes
Contact support@pocketmonsoon.com with questions, complaints, or disputes so we can try to resolve them. You are not required to contact us before exercising your legal rights. These terms do not require binding arbitration, waive collective claims, or prevent you from using courts, regulators, or consumer dispute procedures available under applicable law, including mandatory protections in your country of residence.
